50 Days of Rosé: Day 27

Today, I did a little browsing at Trader Joe’s to see what pink wine everyone’s favorite discount snack emporium has to offer.

I’ve always liked the La Granja brand’s reds – the Tempranillo and Tempranillo/Garnacha blends are both great values to grab if you’re shopping for frozen mini quiches and cookies you’ll eat too many of, so I had high hopes for the rosé.

Plus, look at this cute flamingo:

Bottle: 4/5 – Cute, if focus group-generated label.

Color: 4/5 – Classic peachy-pink.

Chugability: 3.5/5 – There’s something a touch overripe about the flavors, like strawberry jam instead of fresh strawberries.

Price to Quality Ratio: 4.5/5 –  At $4.99, definitely worth a shot next time you’re at TJ’s!

Overall Score: 16/20. Surprisingly good for the price!

Goes With:  A sweating solo cup, a house party, and a friend of a friend you hadn’t realized was so cute…
