I feel like things have been getting a little too French around here. A little too all-Provence-all-the-time. So the other day I picked up this rosé of Syrah from Bulgaria, of all places. It’s imported by G&B Imports, a company that specializes in wines from Bulgaria done in an accessible, modern style.
Bottle: 4.5/5 – I love the clean, modern design of the bottle. Looks like it belongs at a fancy beach resort. I think I belong at a fancy beach resort. Will someone take me to a fancy beach resort??
Color: 3/5 – For an all-Syrah rosé, this is awfully pale.
Chugability: 3.5/5 – Tangy and refreshing, this reminded me of blood oranges.
Price to Quality Ratio: 3.5/5 – I paid about $15 for this and it was a good, if not amazing, value.
Overall Score: 14.5/20. Not bad!
Goes With: Being so happy to be eating lunch with your toes in the sand that you don’t mind that the chicken sandwich you ordered was kind of ‘meh’ and your bikini bottom is all soggy.
